Halo ring is a monumental and modular steel ring made from strips of 16 gauge sheet metal. It is rigid and flexible, delicate while occupying an immense amount of space. It has textured edges being cut from an oxygen-acetylene torch. The natural heat patina is preserved and additional detailing has been added with heat. Viewers are welcome to walk though the ring, acting as a portal.
